Highland Mall becomes an ACC Campus

Before the Domain or even the Arboretum shopping center, Highland Mall stood as the city's epicenter of fashion and retail. But in recent years, with the redevelopment of other areas of Austin, the Highland Mall lost its luster. Now the sprawling 81-acre mall site will become the newest campus for Austin Community College (ACC). The building will be modified in phases with the first phase opening in the fall of 2014.

The space will become a mix of classrooms, labs, offices and large computer rooms for tutoring in math.

The Linc will be right next door to the new ACC Highland Campus offering students and faculty myriad of options for dining, shopping and entertainment. Both the ACC campus and The Linc will provide pedestrian-friendly ways to get from the campus to the new Linc.
